Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Home Range. By creating a family or using Home Range, you agree to them.

Home Range is operated by Kyle Corbitt (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@homerange.app.

Who can use Home Range

You must be at least 18 and live in the United States to create a family. You may add your children, or children you are the legal guardian of, and let them use Home Range on devices you set up. You are responsible for their use of it.

Your family’s account

Devices sign in with a code sent to a parent’s email, and parents approve certain actions with a PIN. Keep your email account and PINs to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on the devices you sign in, and you can sign any device out in Settings.

What you put in

The information you enter stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it in order to run Home Range, and to use it to maintain and improve the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You confirm that you have the right to enter the information you add, including information about your children and other members of your family.

Using it fairly

Please don’t misuse Home Range. That includes trying to get into another family’s information, interfering with the service or its security, using it to break the law or harm anyone, or reselling it.

Stars and prizes

Stars, bonus jobs and prizes are an arrangement between you and your children. Stars have no cash value and cannot be exchanged with us for anything. Any prize a child earns is yours to provide.

Services you connect

You can connect other services, such as a calendar or an AI assistant. Those services are run by other companies under their own terms. An assistant you connect can read and change your family’s information within the permissions you grant, and we are not responsible for what it does.

Price

Home Range is free to use today. We may introduce paid plans or charge for some features in the future. We will tell you before anything you use starts to cost money, and you will never be charged without agreeing to it first.

Changes and availability

Home Range is still changing quickly. We may add, change or remove features, and we may suspend or discontinue the service. We try to keep it running, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors.

Ending things

You can stop using Home Range at any time, and a parent can delete the family in Settings. We may suspend or close a family’s access if these terms are broken or if we need to in order to protect the service or other people.

No warranties

Home Range is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Home Range is a household organizing tool. It is not a safety or supervision product, and timers, reminders and notifications may be late or may not arrive.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of Home Range. Our total liability for any claim relating to Home Range is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or one hundred US dollars.

If something you do causes a claim

If someone brings a claim against us because of information you entered or because you broke these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs from that claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, and you and we consent to those courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we will change the date above, and for significant changes we will tell you by email or in the app. Continuing to use Home Range after a change means you accept the new terms.
