Home Range

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 2, 2026

Home Range is a chore board for families. This page explains what we collect, what we do with it, and how you can delete it.

Home Range is operated by Kyle Corbitt (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at support@homerange.app.

The short version

What we collect

Information you give us. Contact details for parents, such as an email address, and whatever you and your family enter or create in Home Range, such as names, birthdays, chores, schedules, rewards and progress.

Information from services you connect. If you connect another service, such as a calendar, we receive the information from it that Home Range needs.

Information collected automatically. Information about the devices you use and how you use Home Range, such as device and browser type, IP address, usage activity and error reports. We use cookies and similar storage to keep devices signed in and to remember preferences. We do not use them for advertising.

Children

Accounts belong to parents and guardians, who must be adults. A parent sets up the family, enters the information about their children, and decides which devices a child uses. Children do not create accounts and are never asked for an email address or other contact information.

By adding a child to Home Range, you confirm that you are that child’s parent or legal guardian and that you consent to our collecting and using the child’s information as described here. You can review, change or delete a child’s information at any time in Settings, or ask us to at support@homerange.app.

How we use it

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Service providers. We use other companies to run and improve Home Range, for example for hosting and databases, sending email, delivering notifications, analytics, error monitoring, and analysis tools. They receive the information needed to do that work for us.

Services you connect. If you connect a calendar, or connect an AI assistant such as ChatGPT or Claude, information moves between Home Range and that service at your direction. What that service does with it is governed by its own terms and privacy policy. You can disconnect an assistant at any time in Settings, under Devices.

Legal reasons. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, the public, or us.

A change of ownership. If Home Range is transferred to another owner, your information may be transferred with it, under terms no less protective than these.

Keeping and deleting

We keep your family’s information for as long as the family exists in Home Range.

A parent can delete the whole family in Settings, under “Delete this family”. This removes every person, chore, animal, star and all history, and signs every device out. It takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. Copies may remain in backups and logs for a limited time before they are overwritten.

You can also remove a single family member, disconnect a calendar or an assistant, sign a device out, or turn notifications off, all in Settings.

Security

Connections to Home Range are encrypted. PINs are stored hashed, and we store only hashes of the tokens that keep devices signed in. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed or disclosed improperly.

Where Home Range is offered

Home Range is operated in the United States and is intended for families living there. Information is stored and processed in the United States.

Changes

We may update this policy as Home Range changes. When we do, we will change the date above, and for significant changes we will tell you by email or in the app.
